Like a mythical siren who is trapped in the human world and in a marriage without pleasure,  Elida Wangel hears the call of the sea, delivered to her in the form of a person from the past, and is tested by the dilemma: freedom or social compromise? 

German director Heinz-Uwe Haus, who has made a mark on the Cyprus theatrical scene with a number of memorable performances, approaches one of Ibsen’s most important works.
