EXPLICIT-The House That Jack Built(18+)
Lars von Trier Retrospective
Lars von Trier Retrospective
EXPLICIT is Rialto Theatre's new three-day film tribute celebrating cinema that challenged conventions and redefined artistic expression. The first edition is dedicated to Lars von Trier, featuring five landmark films accompanied by discussions with film professionals. Organised in collaboration with the Limassol Cinema Club. 18+ only.
Set in 1970s America, The House That Jack Built follows the highly intelligent Jack through five defining episodes in his life as a serial killer. Viewing each murder as a work of art, Jack reflects on violence, obsession and creation in an unsettling philosophical dialogue with the mysterious Verge. Provocative, disturbing and darkly satirical, the film examines the relationship between art, morality and human depravity.
